What drove you to be a fan of this team?

Hometown team

What does being a Philadelphia sports fan mean to you?

All-star or bench player, Philly expects 100% effort each and every time the players run out of the tunnel. My dad taught me to give everything you have because people who are physically unable to participate would LOVE to be out on that field, whether it be professionally or just in a pick up game. I believe that Philly brings that kind of passion to the field, ice, and court and that is the reason I love being a Philadelphia sports fan.

Please name your top three all-time favorite players and explain why you chose them.

Dawkins, Wentz, Westbrook. The reason these are my favorite players is because they bring the principals of why I love being a Philly sports fan to the field each and every game.

Do you have a pre-game ritual? If so, please explain.

For my own games, I love to put headphones in and vibe. Think of the scenarios that may potentially happen and envision my response or reaction.

For Eagles games, a few beers beforehand puts me in the right mood to cheer our team to victory.

Tell the story of your most memorable experience as a Philadelphia sport fan.

My most memorable moment as a Philadelphia sports fan was heading down to the Linc for the snowbowl game in 2013 against the Lions alongside my dad and brother. With some sort of divine intervention, there was no traffic on 76 and made it to the stadium in record time. We decided to take a quick hour power nap to recharge the batteries after a night of heavy drinking (my brother and I were still in college and woke up at 6 A.M. to drive home) . The weather forecast said it was going to snow roughly an inch starting at 2 P.M., yet we woke up at 11 A.M. blindsided by a blizzard.

EVERYTHING surrounding us was covered by 6 inches of snow (there wasn’t a snowflake anywhere when we closed our eyes). We wrapped our feet and chairs in trash bags and covered up with ponchos. We watched the most scenic game I have seen to this day. Shady McCoy played all his football in Pennsylvania growing up and he said it was the worst weather he has ever played in, yet ran for 217 yards in 29 carries.

The whole game my dad was telling us, “This is amazing, you may never see a game like this again.” The Eagles scored 28 points in the 4th quarter to beat the Lions 34-20 with an electric finish. It’s ALWAYS great to be a part of the Fly Eagles Fly chant, but that day there was something in the air that made it extraordinary.
