Which Philly sports team is your favorite?

The Eagles

How long have you been a Philly sports fan?

My entire life.

What/who influenced you to be a Philly fan?

Growing up in my household, you were born into a Philly sports legacy. Boy, girl, old, young, everyone in our family was a diehard fan. We grew up proud of where we came from and rallied behind Philadelphia sports. Through the good, and even though the bad, we watched every game together.

What does being a Philly sports fan mean to you?

It is a community. You have friends you haven’t even met yet. Walking through the city, “Go Birds” is a salutation. It’s a universal phrase you can say to anyone and they get it. They understand not only are we on the same team, were family.

How do you get pumped up for the games?

I get together with my buddies and my family, and we watch Eagles hype videos on youtube, that really gets the adrenaline pumping, making us excited as if we were ready to run out on the field with the team.

Who are your all-time favorite players? Why are they your favorite?

Brian Dawkins is my all time favorite Eagle. I grew up during his era and the passion, grit, and energy he brought to the team, you could feel it in the city. It represented all the hard-working people in the city of Philadelphia. He gave everything he has every single play and that’s what the fans give back to the team. He loves the city and we love him. He will always be a legend in Philadelphia.

What’s your most memorable experience as a Philly sports fan?

My most memorable experience as a Philly fan was going to the 2008 World Series Parade. The energy in the city was electric. That was my first experience winning a major championship and I waited 16 years for it. Going down and seeing the players ride through the city saluting us as fans, it was such a gratifying experience. I’ll never forget it.
